Adriana is a partner to founders as they navigate the human side of company building. Throughout her career, she’s helped startups thoughtfully manage hypergrowth and has seen – firsthand – the complex people challenges that come with scaling.
At Uncork, she’s a trusted confidante and strategic advisor to teams tackling everything from hiring, org design, and culture to the more complicated – and often personal – questions of leadership in today’s workplace.
Before joining Uncork, Adriana spent more than a decade building and leading people teams at high-growth companies. As VP of People and Places at Segment, she helped grow the team from 50 to 650 in four years. At Mural, headcount jumped from 150 to 900 in just two years. Earlier, she led a large recruiting team at Dropbox and guided hiring strategies at Salesforce and Google. Her experience gives her the empathy and clarity to help founders evolve their own playbooks for people and culture as they scale.
Adriana’s path has always been shaped by adaptability. Born in Venezuela, she moved to Boston in high school, then spent a year in Paris, France and lived in New York City – all before building a career in tech in Silicon Valley.
Adriana earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology at New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at College of the Holy Cross. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
Outside of Uncork, Adriana is happiest near the water – whether scuba diving, water skiing, or painting her walls ocean blue and green. On Sundays, you’ll find her cooking arepas for a lively, open-door gathering of family and friends.
