He knows the founder’s journey firsthand. In 2006, Andy co-founded Huddle, a London-based enterprise collaboration platform that grew into one of Europe’s most recognized startups. Over a decade, he wore just about every hat – running engineering, product, marketing, strategy, and U.S. expansion – before guiding the company through its acquisition in 2017.

That experience shaped how he shows up for founders: with empathy for the hard stuff and conviction in the long game. Since joining Uncork in 2015, Andy has led investments in companies like LaunchDarkly, Human Interest, Tailscale, Fountain, Coder, and Focal Systems. Earlier, as an angel investor, he was often the first check for 40+ startups, including Intercom, Calm, Postmates, and Pipedrive.

Born and raised in the UK, Andy studied economics at the University of Sheffield and is a Kauffman Fellow. He co-founded Founders Pledge, which helps entrepreneurs commit part of their exit liquidity to charity, and is also a Founding Director and former Chair of GBx, the network for British entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley. In 2015, he was awarded an OBE for his services to the UK tech industry.

Outside of Uncork, Andy is a proud girl dad (and fan of whichever sport they’re playing that day), an enthusiastic skier, an aspiring bon vivant, and very British dinner host (think Manhattans, Negronis, and Gin Martinis).
