Isha is drawn to deeply technical early-stage software and AI teams that are building at the frontier, backing founders who turn cutting-edge technology into durable products. Her experiences as an engineer and entrepreneur define how she partners with founders at Uncork: with empathy for the hard moments, conviction in the long game, and hands-on support when things move unpredictably.
Isha's approach is shaped by her technical depth and firsthand founder experience. Before venture, she spent four years as a software engineer at Google on Docs and Google Ad Manager. Working on product and research teams, she developed the ability to dive into technical details while maintaining a systems-level view of technology and markets. In 2023, she co-founded Nova Intelligent Systems, a quantitative hedge fund startup, building from a small team, crafting investor narratives, pitching LPs, and operating with conviction in a high-pressure ecosystem. At Obvious Ventures, she conducted technical diligence on AI tools — testing dozens of coding agents and shaping theses on developer tooling — sharpening her evaluation of early technical risk and opportunity.
Community-building is core to Isha’s work. She is deeply passionate about women-in-STEM initiatives. She was on the leadership team for compileHer (a program that encouraged middle school girls to pursue computer science) and Women@Google, and founded a scholarship program at UChicago that funds attendees of the Grace Hopper Conference. She also served as Managing Partner for the Tarrson Impact Investment Fund, a student-run fund at Chicago Booth.
Isha holds a BS in Computer Science with Honors and an MBA from the University of Chicago, where she was a Siebel Scholar and a recipient of the Hyde Park Angels Venture Capital Award.
Outside of Uncork, she’s a life-long Indian classical and Bollywood dancer, an avid board game player, an amateur photographer, and shares her birthday with her twin sister and her dad.
